Many of us are so used to downloading and installing programs that we don’t seem to be paying attention do what it is we’re actually installing, including browser toolbars, and even spyware. By not taking a few seconds, we are partly causing our computers to run slowly over time.

Your Data is At Risk

Have you backed up your files lately? If not, you risk losing them forever.

No one should rely on any one storage device for their data. Always keep your files in multiple locations, including usb thumbdrives, CD or DVD, external hard drives, and other mediums.

Canada moving to digital-only broadcasts Aug 2011

Contrary to popular belief, over-the-air television signals, otherwise known as ‘analog’ signals, will not suddenly stop broadcasting on February 17, 2009 in Canada. In fact, it’s looking like it won’t even happen in the United States for a while.

Credit cards get security changes to make shopping safer

You may receive a new credit card in the mail to replace the one you have. It will require an extra layer of authentication, and it will be more secure and help prevent fraud, thanks to the technology built into them.

The same technology has been in use in Europe, specifically France, for nearly two decades, further encouraging Canada to follow suit.

A Review of the theatre play ‘Blithe Spirit’

‘Blithe Spirit’, a comedy by Noel Coward, which played at the Yates Memorial Centre until February 7th, tells the story of a man who is suddenly haunted by the ghost, or spirit, of his ex-wife after the man, his current wife, and some friends decide to contact the spirit world.
